Lumenroom
Privacy Policy
In short: Lumenroom collects no data about you. There is no account, no tracking, no advertising and no analytics tools. We run no server that the app sends data to.

2. Settings and your own presets
The app stores your settings, favourites, your own presets and the test time used today per scene on your Apple TV. If you are signed in to iCloud, tvOS syncs them with your other Apple TV devices through iCloud key-value storage. This data lives in your iCloud account at Apple; we have no access to it. Apple's Privacy Policy applies.
3. Clock and weather (optional)
The weather is off by default. If you turn it on, there are two ways:
- Location: If you allow location access in tvOS, the app determines the approximate location of your Apple TV. It is sent to Apple – to Apple Weather (WeatherKit) for the weather and to Apple's geocoding for the place name. The app does not store the location and shares it with no one else.
- Place entered by hand: If you enter a place, its name is sent to Apple to convert it into coordinates. The place name is stored with your settings (see section 2).
The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), given through the permission in tvOS. You can withdraw it at any time in the tvOS settings under Privacy › Location Services, or turn the weather off in the app. Weather data: Apple Weather; data sources are listed at weatherkit.apple.com/legal-attribution.html.
4. Purchases
In-app purchases are handled exclusively by Apple through the App Store. We receive no payment or account data. The app only asks Apple which scenes are unlocked for your Apple Account. Apple gives us aggregated sales reports without information about individuals.
5. Top Shelf
The app stores the scenes you played last only on your Apple TV. The Apple TV shows them in the Top Shelf; for that, the app shares them with its own Top Shelf extension on the same device.
6. Crash reports
If you agreed in the tvOS settings to share analytics with app developers, Apple provides us with anonymous crash reports and usage statistics. They contain nothing that identifies you. You control this in the tvOS settings under Privacy › Analytics & Improvements.
7. Children
Lumenroom collects no personal data from children either. In-app purchases can be restricted with Apple's Screen Time.
8. Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection (Art. 15–21 GDPR), and the right to withdraw consent. As we store no data about you ourselves, you can delete the data on your device at any time by removing the app; you manage data in iCloud in your Apple Account. You can lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the State Commissioner for Data Protection of Lower Saxony (Germany).
9. Changes
If the app changes in a way that affects how data is handled, we update this policy. The date above shows the current version. The German version is legally binding.
